With recent announcements made in the UK, schools are set to start or have already begun the return to the classroom. Secondary school students in England have been advised to wear face masks, at least initially, and SilverGuard face masks offer a safe option for returning pupils.

Scotland: has a phased return in operation. All pupils in P1-P3 and pre-school children have returned full-time from 22nd February. There is also a part-time return, but on a very limited basis, for senior secondary pupils to allow them to complete work for national qualifications. Specifically in England, the government has announced that secondary school pupils will be advised to wear face coverings in classrooms for the initial weeks after reopening. This is part of the government’s roadmap to easing the national coronavirus restrictions in England, beginning with the reopening of both all schools from 8th March for face-to-face teaching.
The roadmap states: “The government recommends that the use of face coverings in higher education, further education and secondary schools is extended for a limited period to all indoor environments – including classrooms – unless 2 metre social distancing can be maintained.”

What size is suitable for teenagers?
Our face masks come in two sizes – Regular and Large – and two styles – Cupped and Pleated. The sizes of our masks vary with regular pleated mask being the smallest fit we do, followed by a regular cupped mask, then a large pleated mask and finally the large cupped mask being the largest size. A regular pleated mask would generally be the most size suitable for a teenager.
We offer a range of colours which are compatible with school uniform, namely, Black, Navy and Light Grey. A Dark Grey face mask will also be coming very soon!
Snoods are also a viable alternative
